Custom Beer Bottle Labels

Have you started homebrewing? Or, have you been contemplating the idea for some time?

Homebrewing is a fine art. There are many variables to consider. Not only do you need all of the correct homebrew equipment, but also all of the ingredients to be successful.

However, what might not have crossed your mind in the process, is after your brew is bottled and now is sitting in the beer bottles waiting to be consumed. Sure, you can go with the no-label look, but you have just spent all this time making a prefect brew. So why not give your beer bottles, bombers, and growlers the look they deserve and stick a custom beer bottle label on your work of art.

When deciding the correct labels for your homebrew there are a few considerations that you want to take into effect all depending on the intended use of your brew.

Here are a few tips that will help you to determine the correct materials for your homebrew:

One-Time Use Bottles

If you plan on selling your homebrew or giving it away to your friends (because you are that nice of a person) and not reusing your bottles, you may want consider using a more durable material. Using a BOPP (polypropylene) film such as a silver or white film would be the way to go. With the BOPP material you can either chose to go with a high gloss or matte laminate. It all depends on your preference and how you want your branding to look.

Multiple-Use Bottles, Bombers, and Growlers

For containers that you want to re-use, such as the beer bottles, bombers, or growlers, having the correct materials will save you a lot of time and frustration. You ideally want to have a material that is going to be removable. Using a material such as Estate #9, a finely textured paper material is perfect for this. Once the container is ready to be reused, this material is more easily removed in a hot water bath.

Keg Toppers

Keg toppers will be especially important in making sure you label the correct beer to the correct keg. Using a white paper for this that can easily be written on will be the appropriate material for this.

It’s time for you to take on your summer project, now that you have thought about everything that you need to make your homebrew a success. Please feel free to contact us to kick off your beer label printing project, or check out more information about our beer labels here.
