This week, our employee spotlight is featuring Guy D’Amato, our Pre Press Graphic Designer! He has been with our team for over three years, and his talent and creativity are incredibly valuable to our company. We interviewed him to learn more about his time here at Leapin’ Lizard Labels:
What is your favorite part about your job?
I really enjoy designing labels, as well as adding my creative input to labels when the opportunity arises. It’s what I love, and I’m thankful I get to do this every day.
What challenges have you faced, and how have you overcome them?
The biggest challenge has been familiarizing myself a little with each part of the industry as I go along. The environmental impacts of the materials, the different specifications of label applicators, various design programs, file types, etc. It can be a lot sometimes, but I’m learning as I go.
If you could give any piece of advice to our customers, what would it be?
Always ask us a lot of questions! There are tons of important decisions to make, and it’s best to be as informed as possible throughout the process. This helps us ensure you’re getting exactly what you’re envisioning.
What is your driving passion for your job? What keeps you coming back to work day after day?
I enjoy anytime I can give help to someone with a personalized design. Offering customers my advice and creative input on their labels lets me use my skills to help their product.
What is your favorite product at LLL?
I really like the unique texture and feel of our hemp paper, so I think it would have to be that.
Tell us about your favorite team experience at LLL?
I enjoy our volunteer trail crew days; I would have to say those are my favorite. It’s fun to get to hang out and get to know everyone better outside of the office.
